Product price

$43.00

Description

100% Gamay. Organic. The fruit for Les Bambins comes from a vineyard called La Côte de Besset with two plots of 45 & 70 year old vines. This cuvee (made since 2016) always shows Yann's deft touch and has classic soft, fleshy fruit with an enchanting nose due to traditional carbonic maceration. It's aged in old wood for 7 months and then bottled unfiltered by gravity following the lunar calendar.

  • Yann Bertrand, Fleurie Vieilles Vignes 2021

Yann Bertrand, Fleurie Vieilles Vignes 2021

100% Gamay. Certified Organic Biodynamic. Perhaps the most contemplative (or chewy and rustic) wine from the estate. For the old vine bottling, Yann uses grapes from vines that are 60+ years old, but grow in an unusual sandy, granitic soil. Also unusual for the domaine is the fact it spends 6 months in concrete before being moved to wood to complete ageing. Bottled unfiltered according to the lunar calendar and no sulfer is added at any point.

  • Jean Foillard, Fleurie 2021

    Jean Foillard, Fleurie 2021

100% Gamay. Certified organic. When Foillard started producing wine grown in the nearby village of Fleurie, we wondered if the trademark purity would be on display. And after more than a decade, the answer is a resounding yes. Grown on pink sandstone instead of the granitic soils of Morgon, there is a core of fleshy red fruit and a slightly less brooding character than the Cote du Py. Traditional, whole cluster fermentation lasts from 3-4 weeks and then aging in barrels at least 2 years old for 6-9 months.

  • Jean Foillard, Beaujolais-Villages 2021

    Jean Foillard, Beaujolais-Villages 2021

100% Gamay. Certified organic. Jean Foillard is a legendary pioneer of the natural wine movement. His family farms fourteen hectares with a non-interventionist mentality in the heart of Morgon. Traditional, whole cluster fermentation lasts from 15 days in concrete tank for the Beaujolais-Villages, and then aging in concrete tank for 7 months.

  • Domaine Bonnet-Cotton, Côte de Brouilly 100% Cotton 2021

Domaine Bonnet-Cotton, Côte de Brouilly 100% Cotton 2021

The Côte de Brouilly ‘100% Cotton’ was the first cuvée Pierre made, and it remains the emblematic wine of the domaine: a structured, powerful Gamay that retains the freshness and easy-drinking quality of the best Beaujolais. Full carbonic maceration of whole clusters in cement tank, then aged in foudre for nine months. Unfined, unfiltered. <10g/l SO2 added before bottling.
