Hacienda Araucano, Pinot Noir "Humo Blanco" 2021

100% Pinot Noir. After lengthy research in several regions of Chile, François Lurton ( son of the famous Bordeaux winemaker Andre Lurton) planted his vineyard on virgin terroir, with poor soil and a healthy, balanced climate. Today the estate has 28 hectares of vines and Lolol has been given "protected designation of origin" status. This range is devoted to grape varieties that are particularly well adapted to the climate of Lolol, notably thanks to the early morning mist that appear on the coastline. Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc have a delicate and elegant character when grown on this 'terroir'. The mouthfeel is seductive and lush, with big fruit in the midpalate framed by a granite mineral structure and sliding into a long silky finish. It’s a revelation for those who don’t know that affordable Pinot can still be layered, complex, and completely delicious.
